Our work is in accordance with ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) practices for tree pruning. We have two certified Arborists on staff, as well as a Qualified Tree Risk Assessor. We have been serving residential, commercial, and municipal customers for over 55+ years. 

Open Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., we are happy to provide you with an appointment for our tree trimming or removal services. At Rod’s Tree Service, Inc., we proudly offer free estimates on all work. One or both of our certified Arborists will come to your property, assess the work requested, and provide you with an estimate in a timely manner.

Our Story
Rod’s Tree Service, Inc. is a, 3rd-generation owned family business based out of San Clemente, CA. Rod’s Tree Service, Inc. (RTS) is fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We have been servicing South Orange County since our founder, Richard R. Rodriguez (ROD), began in the tree industry in 1964. Rod, a Yaqui Indian from Pascua Village in Tucson, AZ, made his way to California via the United States Marine Corps in the mid-1950s. After the service, Rod held many local jobs, ranging from heavy equipment operating to serving as a reserve Police Officer for the San Clemente Police Department. Aside from tree work, Rod has cemented himself as a prominent figure in the community via volunteer work with numerous community events, functions, and local service clubs. 

With Rod now retired, the business is owned and operated by his grandsons Jason Garcia, Richard (Rick) Rodriguez, and Matthew Garcia. With over 35 years combined experience, “the boys” are eager to expand on the foundation set forth by their grandfather in the tree industry, as well as continue the company’s community involvement. Under leadership of the grandsons, Rod’s Tree Service, Inc. has built a solid customer base of loyal returning homeowners, landscape contractors, property management companies, Homeowners Associations, real estate agents, and commercial properties. We pride ourselves on working with other local businesses to keep business local.
